PAIN

I seriously never knew I could feel this much pain in my mouth. Stupid wisdom teeth extraction. Between bouts of nausea, unconsciousness and sever swelling, the past two days have been zero fun. Also, the nicknames seem to be never ending. My favorite so far is "Puffy Princess."

Ooh, my sympathies. I remember getting my wisdom teeth out... with all the swelling, I looked like a damn chipmunk. Let's hear it for antibiotics and painkillers!

The swelling is the worst part. My face feels all bruised and enormous. Yuck.

Oh man, that sucks. At least you got them all taken care of at once. All four of mine came in and I ended up having to have three of them pulled on three separate occasions.

Why did it take three times to get them out?

I don't need any more narcotic vibes. I'm so doped up I can't walk straight. I also haven't left my house in three days, so I have a little cabin fever.

One tooth at a time, three different times. That is what you get when you need teeth pulled, but you don't have any dental insurance. XP

I rescind the aforementioned narcotic vibes and substitute 'get well soon' vibes in their place. I hope you can get off the hard stuff and get back to things again soon.

I'll take the 'get well soon' vibes. I hope the swelling goes down enough tomorrow that I can go out to eat with for my boyfriend's birthday with his family.

Having someone do anything to your teeth for any reason is usually pretty horrible. Having it happen to you when you are broke and have to pay every penny of it yourself is just an extra kick in the teeth to make the situation memorable.

Are you taking ibuprofen or anything? That should help with the swelling. I have also heard that pineapple juice (swished and thriftily swallowed) is really good for helping things heal up more rapidly. So says my old dentist anyway.

I have the face-wrap ice packs, which I have been thinking about adding to my regular wardrobe. It's extremely attractive. I'm not a big fan of pineapple, but I'll look into that.
