Things discovered...
Nov. 26th, 2007 11:18 pmAfter a year of waiting, I saw Enchanted on Wednesday and I can't wait to see it again. Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz still know how to write really catchy and clever songs. I bought the soundtrack and "So Close" is becoming one of my all-time favorite songs. The animation was also superb, but I may be biased since I LOVE traditional animation and want to throttle almost all CGI. It was funny, but there was a few jokes put in there just for the kiddos. However, there were times during the movie when I was all smiles; this movie makes you feel better.
This weekend I finally sat down and watched Moonlight, the new vampire show on CBS. I saw the previews and as an old Buffy fan, I had to check it out. So, I set the DVR at home, but because of school, I watched 10 minutes of the first episode and then didn't really get to watch the rest until this weekend. The first episode was a little iffy, so that also kept me from marathon-ing the rest immediately. Despite my original ambivalence, I really enjoy the show now. It's hot and angsty AND a murder-mystery, stuff all up my alley.
Finally, the boyfriend burned my the original cast recording of Sweeney Todd. It is so amazing, and I can't wait for the movie.
Tomorrow I must start writing on my 12-page research paper for Political Science. Wish me luck!
