End of summer
Jul. 22nd, 2006 11:39 amMy summer is pretty much over now. Drumline camp started on Monday, and it was a painful 6 hours the first day, but it has gotten progressively better.
Lake Highlands Drum Corps show was Thursday and really cool, but really really hot and humid. Blue Devils were awesome, and I loved the Scouts show, but they only got third. Phantom Regiment did the encore, and played Dvorak's 9th, mvt IV, which John Williams ripped off the first few bars for Jaws. I'm also going to the Denton Show tomorrow, and maybe it won't be so hot (but probably not; curse you, Texas heat!). I'm really excited about the Denton show because it has all different corps, so we'll be able to see the top 6 between Lake Highlands and Denton.
I've seen A Scanner Darkly twice now, and it' amazing. The animation is beautiful and the plot is so cool, the only word for it is amazing.
