Men, men, men...

I have loved the Disney movie as long as I can remember. I think I just love that type of romance. Beauty and the Beast, Labyrinth, the myth of Hades and Persephone, Pride and Prejudice, etc. I just love me some pure masculinity. I am very self-actualized and a quasi-feminist, but Captain Von Trapp makes me weak at the knees. I'm very much attracted to the man who commands a presence something fierce, is very assured in his manliness, and yet is so vulnerable in love. I eat this up with a spoon. Mmmm, manly and powerful.
On a completely unrelated note, I'm taking a poetry class that I had to beg to get into this semester. It's a cool class, but I have yet to say anything of value, which is a little disheartening. However, our assignment for tomorrow was to read "Daddy" by Sylvia Plath. It is a very beautiful and very sad poem. The hardest part of this class is that we have to write daily paragraphs responding to what we have read, which is usually 4 or so poems. I really hate this because there are no real parameters and I'm not sure what he wants.
( I just want to turn my book in and he can decipher my notes. )
